Ever since September 11, 2001 when more than 800 children lost a parent, First Responders Children's Foundation has provided millions of dollars in scholarships to hundreds of children who have lost a parent in the line of duty which helps cushion the financial hardship these children face. In 2019, First Responders Children's Foundation awarded 44 college scholarships to deserving children of first responders across the country. Approximately 225 first responders are killed in the line of duty each year, and each fatality leaves behind an average of 2.3 children. First responders, including nurses, medical personnel, firefighters, police, EMTs, and paramedics, remain on the front lines of the COVID pandemic. For nearly twenty years, First Responders Children's Foundation has provided college scholarships for the children of those injured or killed in the line of duty. As public interaction and the prevalence of COVID increases, they continue to provide this much-needed care. During the pandemic, $4.74 million has been awarded to 3,867 first responders experiencing financial hardship and to 45 agencies responding to COVID-19. Funds have impacted individuals in the following professions: • 37% Fire Services (firefighters, EMTs, & paramedics) • 25% Medical Personnel (nurses & healthcare personnel) • 23% Public Safety (police officers, deputies, security, school safety, homeland security, etc.) • 14% Other (911 dispatchers, etc.)

Funding Arts. Fueling Community. ArtsWave is a nonprofit serving Greater Cincinnati and Northern Kentucky, is the region's lead planner, promoter and funder of the arts. ArtsWave was the first and continues to be largest community arts campaign in the nation, with tens of thousands of donors. Decades of strong support from residents has built Cincinnati's arts and culture scene into a national draw and regional asset, creating a ripple effect of economic and community benefits. Each year ArtsWave supports the work of 100+ arts organizations, school outreach programs, festivals, community centers, neighborhoods and various artistic and civic collaborations through impact-based grants.

Vibe of Portland is an Oregon-based organization working to return emphasis to art education where it is missing from today's daily educational system. Many students with an interest in arts are not able to pursue it, especially those who do not have the means to connect with the art community outside of school. Vibe connects local teaching artists who have a passion for art and music with students who have a desire or a creative outlet.Until long-term visual art and music education is available to all students in Portland, Vibe will continue to work with those who strive to cultivate and understand artistic expression.

The organization's work is designed to ensure that artists who are discounted in the mainstream are supported and acknowledged in our region. With the understanding that art moves and mends communities, their investment in artists is an equal investment in the long-term wellbeing of Chicago and the region and in the vitality of our collective creative spirit. Since 2008, 3Arts has distributed $3 million to more than 600 artists.

Established in 1975, the Spruill Center for the Arts in Dunwoody is a private, non-profit organization, whose mission is to foster understanding and appreciation of the visual arts, by offering an extensive and diverse program of classes, a professional artist exhibition series, and outreach programs for seniors, youth, and audiences with special needs. For more than 40 years, the Spruill Center for the Arts has been devoted to providing arts education and enrichment to the metro Atlanta community. The Spruill Center for the Arts provides over 800 visual arts classes annually to more than 5,000 students of all ages and skill levels. Disciplines taught at the Spruill Center include ceramics, decorative arts, drawing, fiber arts, glass, jewelry, mixed media, mosaics, painting, photography, and sculpture. Our Education Center offers state-of-the-art, advanced equipment and stellar instruction by top artists from Metro Atlanta, nationally and internationally.

Since opening in 2014, OZ Arts Nashville, a 501(c)(3) contemporary arts center, has changed the cultural landscape of the city. Housed in the former C.A.O. cigar warehouse owned by Nashville's Ozgener family, OZ Arts brings world-class performances and art installations to the city, and gives ambitious local artists opportunities to work on a grand scale. The flexible 10,000 square-foot, column-free venue, nestled amidst five acres of artfully landscaped grounds, is continually reconfigured to serve artists' imaginations, and to challenge and inspire a diverse range of curious audiences. The mission of McLean Project for the Arts (MPA) is to exhibit the work of emerging and established artists from the mid-Atlantic region; to promote public awareness and understanding of the concepts of contemporary art; and to offer instruction and education in the visual arts. Each year MPA provides: 15 outstanding contemporary arts exhibitions that showcase the work of emerging and accomplished artists; more than 160 art courses and our Summer STEAM Camp, taught by the distinguished MPA faculty; our award winning ArtReach program, a partnership with the Fairfax County Public Schools, Fairfax County Community Centers, senior programs, and community organizations serving K-12 students, seniors, and people with special needs; and, MPAartfest, the annual outdoor fall festival of the visual arts.

We believe that every brain is capable of new growth and change. No matter what the condition or diagnosis given we know that the brain can change based on the input and stimulation it receives. Our job is to provide that intense interaction and stimulation - consistently and daily. Our mission is to believe in the potential of each child who enters our doors, while readily and lovingly expressing that belief. That is who we are. Jacob's Ladder is an SAIS-SACS accredited, SB-10 approved private school, serving students Pre-K through twelfth grade with any kind of neurological disorder - from Down syndrome, Cerebral Palsy and Brain Injury to a range of learning disabilities, genetic disorders, and alternative cognitive, social or emotional needs - although 60% of our students have been diagnosed with Autism. We offer adult services for stroke patients, and we also offer the Jacob's Ladder Model of Intervention in our Therapy Center on an hourly basis. Today our staff of 120 serve over 150 students on our two campuses, home-based therapy program, and our Pods of Care satellite program. Over the last nineteen years, Jacob's Ladder has provided evaluations, tailored trainings, and individualized care for over 4,000 families from nearly every state in the U.S. and from all five continents. Grounded in science, guided by love, and delivered with an unwavering commitment to see beyond diagnoses, our intensive, individualized, research-based approach works. Jacob's Ladder students regularly reach milestones once thought impossible. On a daily basis, we see nonverbal children grasp language, children with autism establish eye contact, and children who have struggled to learn take steps toward academic achievement.

A nonprofit mural arts and education organization dedicated to participatory community arts with an emphasis on integrating sustainable design and facilitating inter-group opportunities for youth, elders, and adults. Tucson Arts Brigade, INC. (TAB) is an Arizona-based nonprofit 501(c)(3) participatory service-based community mural arts and education organization that specializes in offering youth, intergenerational and cross-cultural opportunities for civic and social engagement. TAB facilitates dialogue and employs arts-based solutions to complex community issues ranging from isolation, bullying, health and wellness to empowering youth and elders, beautification, sustainable design, and revitalizing neighborhoods. Bringing together schools, neighborhoods, civic agencies, businesses, and other non-profits, TAB is a national model for sustainable community development through the arts. TAB’s award-winning, nationally-recognized Community Arts Integration programs help students, neighborhoods and families accomplish goals with measurable results.
